Located in the little municipality of Genga, Frasassi Caves are a gorgeus natural show and an inevitable destination for tourists.
Discovered in 1971 by the Speleological group of Ancona, the caves were opened to tourism in 1974.
![]() This amazing underworld is characterized by unique formes named "stalattiti", "stalagmiti" and "cortine lamellari". There are also little lakes and christal architectures inside the seven rooms that is possible to visit: Abisso Ancona, Sala dei Duecento, il Piccolo Canyon, Sala delle Candeline, Sala Bianca, Sala dell'Orsa, Sala dell'Infinito.
Temperature inside the caves is 14°C, always constant during the year.
In the neighbourhoods is possible to visit the romanic church of S. Vittore alle Chiuse, the Sanctuary's Cave, the little Temple of Valadier, The Speleological Museum, The Museum of sacred art of Genga.
